Examples of cases

All matters are confidential. Represented the following clients: • a claimant in an arbitration in Stockholm under the SCC Rules involving a claim of more than USD 100 million against an European company in connection with bribery of the claimant's staff by the European company in the course of negotiating the terms of contracts. Applicable law: Swedish, Russian and Norwegian law. The case ultimately ended with the conclusion of an amicable settlement; • a claimant in an LCIA arbitration under English law and related Russian and English court proceedings in respect of a shareholder dispute relating to assets and offshore companies. The claim was granted; • a railcar operating company in an internal investigation into allegations of corruption and the breach of EU and US sanctions, and subsequent LCIA arbitration under English law in London initiated against a former CEO. The case was settled; • an agent arranging trans-shipment of oil products at a terminal in Russia, in a case against a European company involving the breach of guaranteed delivery terms by the latter (the ICAC Rules, Moscow, Russian law). The dispute was successfully settled.
